Bart Hacker

The formative years growing up in Worthington provided Bart with the very experiences that he wishes for his own son. Therefore, it surprised no one that when he moved back to Central Ohio in 2011, he returned to Worthington.

As President & CEO of Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc., Barton recognized the need by the construction industry to address a significant shortage of workforce development. This led him to  help the Central Ohio ABC establish the Ohio Construction Academy (OCA) in 2013, a fully accredited community high school aimed at training 9-12 grade students in the trades. In addition to his roles and responsibilities with Central Ohio ABC, Hacker acted Head Administrator for OCA during its first two years of operation.

Through these experiences Barton came to witness that great initiatives require leaders who are willing to step up to the challenge. As president of the LW board from 2016-2019, he worked tirelessly to reinvigorate the program because of his dedication to the community.
